Belinda Wilson lives and works in London, travelling to a huge variety of landscape locations to take her photographs. Her early photographic interests were inspired and developed by her father as he processed his own photography while she observed. She studied photography during the years she worked as a fashion model for photographers such as Patrick Litchfield and Terrance Donovan. Combining her experience on both side of the lens she developed a unique and personal style. Fuelled by lucid visions and powerful dreams Belinda Wilson chooses her themes, locations and subjects, working entirely on her own to preserve the integrity of the image. Process leads her photographic journey, from sketches and elaborate hand made props and costumes to sourcing remote locations and setting scenes. Operating her camera with a remote, Belinda manoeuvres between subject and anti subject. She angles her shots precisely and strikes within the moment whilst feeling the elements of wind, rain, the chill, the sun. She transposes complete strangers into her lavish storytelling and they become dramatic counterpoints to her mythical dreams. Belinda Wilson has subsequently become the artist, photographer and performer she is today. She had her first solo show at La Galleria Pall Mall in October 2016.
